Birth Control Pill?

GF has been on birth control for over 2 years. She switched perscriptions to a different brand. Is there an amount of time that we need to wait because of the new pill or is it still effective?
Answer:
It is the hormones in it that makes it effective so switching brands should not be a problem. Reading the packet that comes with it is a good idea. When on the pill, a woman's body does not release an egg because the hormones trick the body into thinking it is already pregnant. As long as there wasn't a lapse in her taking the pill, you should be fine.
read the instructions on the new pill. There should be a section that tells what to do when changing brands.
you have to wait 6 months...
i would wait until she is done her first pack...just to be safe.
I would just ditch the pill and get the shot. It works wonders! Plus, no period! But if she decides to stick with the pill, talk to the pharmacist or doctor about whether you should wait.
i would think it is still effective but i am no doctor sorry but comon sense would say its still effective but if your worried i would ask the doctor
It will still work even though she is switching prescriptions. I always had a hard time taking the pill at the same time and I switched to NuvaRing- I love it!
well with any pill, they advise using alternative means of contraception for the first week or so.
