Birth Control Pills?

My fiancee and I are going to the beach at the end of this month and we're going right during when I'm supposed to be on my period. I was wondering which is safer to stop my pills a week early and have my period or to just take two packs back to back. Do either one of this increase a risk of pregnancy? We always use a condom for back up but I feel safer knowing I'm protected by hormones instead of rubber lol. I tried surfering the net but really couldn't find anything. I'm on the generic LoOval if that makes any difference. Thanks for your help.
Answer:
You really need to talk to you Doc about this. I know some Doctors prescribe birth control in 3 month increments but doing it on you own could be dangerous. Those pills can have serious side effects so I wouldn't mess with them unless my Doctor said it was okay.
Taking two packs of pills back to back - skipping the sugar pills - actually means you have less chance of pregnancy than if you had taken them as normal. Missing pills on either side of the pill-free week is the leading cause of failure to prevent prgnancy. So if you don't have that pill-free week, then there is no chance that the level of hormones will drop far enough to trigger ovulation.

Birth control pills?

when is the most effective time of the day to always take my birth control pill? if you take it in the morning, is it still fully effective that night? how long does it take from the moment you take the pill for it to get into your system, then how long does it last?
Answer:
It doesn't matter what time of day you take them, as long as you take them at about the same time every day.
Many people find it easier to remember if they take them in the morning. You are more likely to have a set routine for your morning activities.

How long they actually last will be dependent on the formulation of the specific pill you are taking. The lower the dose the more important it is to take at the same time every day.
Your best bet is to choose a time of day that works for you. No one individual pill is preventing you from getting pregnant, but the cumulative and ongoing effect of your daily doses, so you don't have to worry about waiting for a dose to enter your bloodstream or whether a dose you took earlier is still active. Consistency is the key, especially with the lower dose pills.

Birth control pills...?

Ladies, while you were on birth control, did your boobs grow ? when my doctor prescribed me with TriNessa, she said that my boobs will most likely grow a full cup size, and they definitely did. Now i am switching to Yasmin, and I am hoping that they will grow again :D. did your boobs grow when you went on birth control ? if so, what was the name of the birth control that did it ? just curious =) thanks
Answer:
I was on the patch. Um, ortho evra-I think it's called. They grew alright! It's a cool kind of birth control, you only have to worrry about it once a week!
i was on Yasmin for over a year but mine didnt grow any but i did lose a little bit of weight.

Birth Control Pills Help xP?

I just started the birth control pill, and started reading around the forumns, i have a question, the person i went to that perscribed me the birth control pill told me to go by the dates, around the cycles than after im done go to the dark green pills in the middle, am i suppose to takes those on my period or not? b cuz im on my period now, n its becoming a big confusion towards me, should i just go by the dates and once im done w/ the end of the circle, take the dark green ones or the "sugar" pills, or should i take them now on my period?

Please help
Answer:
you take the "sugar" pills while you are on your period, yes. they are just to keep you consistent to taking a pill every day
Go by the dates. the pills will then sync with your body
my doc told me cause I'm just starting BC too that if you get your period while still taking the active pills, keep taking them cause your body has to adjust. Don't break out of the routine. Stay in order of your pack regardless of what your body puts out.
Okay, it sounds like you have either the same brand as I do, or something very similar. If there is an arrow on the outside of the circle, you need to start there. What I would do, is start on a Sunday, since you are on your period. Start with the lightest colored blue pill (if those are the ones you have). and work your way clockwise around the packet, and then take the green pills in the middle last. If you do not have blue pills, and they are a different color, read through the instructions that come with the packet, and that should help. As I said, I would start on Sunday, and that should make it less confusing for you. Hope that helps, and good luck! :)
You need to stay on your regular pills and go by what the person said. It will take a couple of months for your body to get used to the pills, but your period will fall in the correct order with your pills eventually. Just remember that the more consistent you are, the better it is for your body. I take my pill at 9:30 every night and have no problems with my period being at the right time with my pills.

Birth control pills and periods?

Two montha ago i found out i was preganant. Imidiately i had D%26C done. After that when my periods started i had started taking birth control pills loette. However i have noticed that i am having too much of stomach pain, irritation in vaginal areas, burning sensation while urinating. Genarally my periods are over on 5 th day however after taking BC my periods have elongated to 7 th day and still i am bleeding though not muchas in cycle. What may be the cause? Am i having side effects etc? Shld i visit a gynac?
Answer:
see your gyno, track your symptoms in the meantime
Go to the gyno
Go to the doctor now! You may have an infection or an incomplete abortion causing problems. Do not wait!
If you were pregnant you had an abortion which includes a D%26C right?
Oh, heck yes get your behind to the Dr.Sometimes there is alot of scar tissue or tissue left from the abortion. Stomach pain, irritated vagina and burning sensation sounds like STD to me. Go to a Dr. this could be serious, hon.
D
You should definitely see a gynecologist as SOON as you can.

Birth Control Pills !?

I've been on Birth Control Pills for about 2 months now. My sister keeps telling me it can cause cancer %26 that her friend was on it %26 she gained alot of weight ! Is this true? Can you gain alot of weight? So far, I haven't gained a pound..but my sister keeps telling me they will make me fat later. Is this something I should be worried about? Should I stop taking them because I really don't want to get fat ! I heard on some people it can cause you to LOOSE weight .. is that also true? Ehh.. im so confused. :/ please help !
Answer:
weight gain yes. cancer no. they say 5-20lbs. but it can be prevented if you alter your diet. since you have not gained a pound you may be one the lucky few who won't gain wait on the pill. If that still doesnt' convince you try other forms of birthcontrol. UTI, or uva-ring
no it depends on you.. your sister is just greedy *** hell. just eat the normal things that u always eat and u will be fine...and for the cancer question all birthcontrol pills have side effects just ask your doctor what are the effects.. if your sister does not have a medical license tell her to kick rocks and do your thang..
it ruined my life
i have gained a ton of weight since i got off of it, now i have horrible acne, and irregular periods
it has been a year and my hormones are starting to finally balance themselves out. but i think its the worst. it also depletes your vitamins and minerals in your body.
the worst one is yasmin or yaz

stop now!
its different for everyone. I didn't gain an ounce. I took orthotricyclene. my cousin did the depo shot and gained like there was no tomorrow. So did a friend of mine. If your worried about gaining weight then make a diet plan and work out a bit more. you will head off any weight gain by just staying healthy. good luck
sometimes this is true but don't let it get to your head. eating right and exercising should keep you where you are. if this is a major concern talk to your obyn about it and find a birth control that is right for you.
There's no evidence that birth control pills cause weight gain. If weight gain happens, the average weight gain is five pounds or less. Some women gain more, and some gain less, and some gain none at all, but you're just as likely to lose weight or not have your weight change as you are to gain weight while on the pill. I, for example, lost weight when I first went on the pill. We can't predict what will happen to you though.

And as far as cancer goes, hormonal contraceptives can reduce your risk of certain kinds of cancer-most notably ovarian and endometrial cancer.

Tell your sister that she needs to check her sources more carefully before spreading rumors and false information.

Birth Control Pill?

GF has been on birth control for over 2 years. She switched perscriptions to a different brand. Is there an amount of time that we need to wait because of the new pill or is it still effective?
Answer:
It is the hormones in it that makes it effective so switching brands should not be a problem. Reading the packet that comes with it is a good idea. When on the pill, a woman's body does not release an egg because the hormones trick the body into thinking it is already pregnant. As long as there wasn't a lapse in her taking the pill, you should be fine.
read the instructions on the new pill. There should be a section that tells what to do when changing brands.
you have to wait 6 months...
i would wait until she is done her first pack...just to be safe.
I would just ditch the pill and get the shot. It works wonders! Plus, no period! But if she decides to stick with the pill, talk to the pharmacist or doctor about whether you should wait.
i would think it is still effective but i am no doctor sorry but comon sense would say its still effective but if your worried i would ask the doctor
It will still work even though she is switching prescriptions. I always had a hard time taking the pill at the same time and I switched to NuvaRing- I love it!
well with any pill, they advise using alternative means of contraception for the first week or so.

Birth Control Pill?

For the past several years, I have been taking my bcp continously every month in order to avoid getting my periods. Another words I do not take the sugar pill row, I just start another pack. This way I don't get my horrific period. Every few months I will take the sugar pill row and allow my period to come. My doctor prescibes the lowest dosage pill. The reason I started doing this is to avoid my period all together, I suffer fron horribe cramps and heavy flow which I've been checked for, the dr. says I'm ok its just normal for me. I haven't told my prmary dr that I do this for fear of getting fussed at and also embrassed. Do you think this is dangerous? I am 41yrs old so I won't be taking them much longer. I know that they are few brands on the market which work with the same concept. I had the idea 1st. Whats your opinon? tu
Answer:
You should let all of your doctors know what you are taking and how often. I'm sure if you explain your situation to your primary doctor they'll understand. Taking the pill continuously is not dangerous, especially because you take the sugar row occasionally.
I also did this way before the Seasonale thing also. There really isn't any medical reason why you HAVE to have your period, also, a pill period isn't a real period anyway. I do suggest speaking with your doctor about it though, or maybe consider going on a shot like Depo.
just tell the doctor. you never know what other problems might come from taking it continuously. you are probably ok, but do it just to cover your bases.
I think that trying to stop the natural body functions is very very bad. Like you said, you won't be having periods for long, so try and tough it out until it's time. Taking all these pills to try and stop your period could affect your health in the future. :(
I am glad to see I'm not the only one who takes the pill this way. And to all the people who say its bad for me - well I only had two other options: A.) Curl up in bed and cry in agony for ten days of the month, unable to work, cook or clean; or B.) Take so many prescription pain killers that by now my liver would be shot to h***.
What women do not realise is that the bleeding you get on the pill is NOT a period, it is a reaction to taking sugar pills instead of hormones, its a withdrawl symptom, hence it is called a withdrawl bleed not a period.
I wont go in to more detail as so many women get really angry at me when I give them the facts! But I will give you the best advice possible...go to this website. It is from the Mayo Clinic, a medical organisation respected around the globe for their decades of medical research and world class patient treatment.
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/womens-...
Best of luck and be sure to read what is on this site. Dont be afraid to tell your doctor...this is your right to choose to do this and there is NO MEDICAL EVIDENCE to prove that the bleeding you get on the pill benefits your body in any way what so ever.
It is not normal to be suffering from cramps so horrible that you can't function. I would recommend getting a second opinion and preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the dr that you use as your gynecologist.

The debate about whether continuous is safe to use long term (and I use it for treating endometriosis) rages on but I would recommend telling your primary care physician just so that it's part of your medical record in case other issues could possibly come in to play in the future.

The idea of continuous birth control pills have been around for a while, about 30 year some years for the treating of medical issues such as endometriosis but as far as using it for the thing of not having a period just to not have one has only become popular within the last nearly 10 years. And this is also one of the reasons the debate continues to rage about how safe it is especially now with the fact that another pill has been approved to keep a woman from having her period a year at a time.

But because of those horrible cramps I would recommend seeing another gynecologist because it's very possible that you may be dealing with endometriosis.

To learn more about endometriosis please check out: http://www.endocenter.org

I have met a couple of women that did not get diagnosed with endometriosis till they were in their 40s.

Birth control pill question?

I'm on the birth control pill and as you know, when you're on the pill your period pretty much comes each month at the exact same time. Well, mine has been like clock-work, but this month my period it came a week and a half early. Any idea why?
Answer:
have you recently (within the past month or so) started living with a new set of females or have you started a job where you are in constant company of new females? it has been proven that when women are around one another more often than not, that they're cycles start to coincide with one another.
no matter what, you can always have what is called "break through bleeding". That means you spot while on the white pills. This can occur with an extra amount of stress or caffine. Stress really messes with periods and can cause you to flat not have one or have bleeding between periods. Don't worry--it's nothing out of the oordinary and nothing to be worried about. I've taken pills for almost 15 years now and the only time that happened is when I was really stressed--just relax and know everything will be ok.

Birth control pill question?

i stopped taking the pill last month and got my period just fine. this month i got my period on time but i started spotting a few days before. my period was extremely heavy for 3 days then it was extremely light for 4 days and now i am still bleeding and it's day 10! i have cramping and lower back pain. is this normal or am i pregnant
Answer:
You are NOT pregnant...when u take the pill, it messes up the whole cycle of things. Talk to ur doctor, teacher, parent, ect. if you are really concerned.
Well first thing you should do is take a pregnancy test and see if your pregnant. Ideally, you should stay on the birth control pills because if you stop it can make your periods very irregular and can cause heavy bleeding as your stating.

Birth control pill emergency? please help?

ok so here is the deal yesterday apperently i took my yasmin bc pill at 3:00 pm as always. then i frogot i had taken it and took another one at 12:00 pm at night. so im goingto take one for today , today. becasue im not sure i took the one at 3:00pm. so my question is what are the effects in effectiness of the pill if i take 1 extra pill of the pack. i mean instead of 3 weeks of pills its going to be 3 weeks and and extra pill from another half empty pack that i have saved just in case i lose pills i take it form there. please help me... i have been on it for 5 months nad it has never happened to me and your fyi its my first week of the pack after my period. thank you so much
Answer:
if you took the "extra" one at 12 just in case, then just continue as normal tomorrow, if you have missed one it is ok but you may not have the full effects of the pill in your system.

Birth control pill emergency?

ok so the deal is that yesterday i took apprently my bc pill at 3:00 pm as always for the last 5 months. but then at night i wasnt sure i took it so i took another one from another half use pack that i had for this kinds of emergencies at 12:00 pm. and today at 3:00 pm i took the one for today so what are effectiness effects. are the less or the same. pretty much i may have taken an extra pill of the pack.so its the first time this happens to me.
Answer:
Just dont take more pills than you should. i dont think this incident will do harm. here's what you can do so that next time you will ALWAYS be sure you are taking your pills everyday, on time, all the time...
Put your pills beside a small table calendar (the throw away kind) and a marking pen (the permanenet ink kind). each time you take your pill, just, simply, mark the calendar : )
When evening comes, there will be no problem remembering if youve taken your pills or not... the marked calendar will tell you if you havent : )
You should be ok (meaning same effectiveness) but because it's the weekend I would recommend double checking with your pharmacist to see what they say til you can talk to your dr on Mon.
You should be fine since you haven't technically missed any pills, but only took an extra one.
Think you should be o.k
An extra pill may cause no harm for now except you allow it to become frequent.

Birth control online vs. written prescription??

is it just as safe to order prescription birth control pills (for women) online (such as www.birthcontrol.com) as it is to go to the doctor, get examined, and then get the written prescription for it??
Answer:
I would never order pills online. You don't know that your actually getting the right thing.

Go to your doctor and have them write a prescription, especially if you haven't had any birth control before. Only the doctor will know what it good for you or not.

Birth Control Nausea?

I have just started taking birth control to regulate my period, and I am experiencing some pretty bad waves of nausea. I know this is characteristic of birth control for the first couple of months. For anyone who has experienced this problem - is there anything that alleviates this nausea? Should I just take something like Pepto Bismol or another brand name medicine, or is there anything better you ladies have run across? Thanks!
Answer:
I am having the exact same thing happen. I started the pill in the last week and I have been feeling really bad nausea for the last few days. I have been told that it is completely normal for this to occur in the first month.

I would suggest taking some tums or pepto bismol, like you mentioned.

Also, watch the foods you eat. For instance, just thinking of peanut butter right now makes me feel sick because it is so rich. Try sticking to pretty bland, filling foods for right now and that might help alleviate symtpoms too (it has for me). Foods that have worked for me are plain rice, chicken, bread and plain vegetables.

Good luck, and if you find anything else that works, please let me know!
I have never had this prob. If you are getting nausea it may be because you are on the wrong type of pill. Would talk to your doctor about it.

Birth control issues?

My sister and I were raised in a Christian family that prohibited birth control. I have grown out of this, but my sister believes that birth control is as bad as abortion. So she keeps having more and more and more and more kids with her husband, and her health is quickly going down hill (Her kids are starting to have issues too) but she won't listen to her doctor's advice about STOPPING. It's driving me insane. Every time I turn around she's pregnant again and sick. Please help! What should I do for her?
Answer:
well in a loving way tell her you are worried. explain if something happens to her all these kids are gonna be left with out a mom. Suggest she try using Fertility Awareness combined with the Rhythm Method. This is an accepted method of the church. Obviously it's not 100% (nothing is because of human error), and to use this you have to really educate yourself on it and get to know your body, but it is really pretty effective IF used correctly. Because of the sittuation this is a good (probably the best at this point cause something is def better then nothing!!) option for her, since she refuses to use any other method of birth control. It will give her more control rather than her being helpless and pregnant (and sick) all the time.
(I'm surprised she has anything (time/energy) left in her to to do what it takes to get pregnant!!)

I have achived pregnancy and also avoided pregnancy using the Fertility Awareness and Rhythm Method. Have her look it up to learn more, it will teach you her alot about her cycle and maybe even empower her to feel she can be more in control of her body (and still in line with what she thinks the church beleives). I mean really shes the only one who can make these choices but maybe this will help her see there are other ways out there then having baby after baby.
DISCLAIMER:
To all the teens, and ppl who have not thoroughly researched this: If you aren't prepared for a baby I hugely recommend using another back up method to prevent. (When I was doing this method I was married and didn't want to take hormones cause I was nursing but I didn't mind if we got pregnant on accident.) The thing is that really you can get pregnant anytime... your body can drop eggs when its not supposed to, and mens sperm can live longer than they are supposed to. There is no 100% on this and depending soley on this (or any one method) to prevent getting pregnant is not a great idea if you aren't ready for it to not work! Women may not realize their cycle is off or dont account for how stress factors, medication, illness can effect your cycle and throw it off.
Only she can save herself. It's her life and her choices, no matter how painful it is for you to watch!
I am sorry that you have to watch her go through that, but she is the only one that can do anything about it. You have tried and that is all you can do. You should support her and never give up on her, but only she can make the decision to stop having kids.
Sorry to hear about your sister. Unfortunately, if she won't listen to you or more importantly her own doctor, she's not likely to stop. I hope it doesn't happen, but it sounds like the only way she'll stop is if she's forced to have an emergency hysterectomy or something of the sort due to her health. You might talk to her church leader (reverand/pastor) or someone else she is close with and trusts from the church and ask them to speak to her about it because of her poor health.
why dont you bring her to a community center...in there they would give her an advice about safe family planning.birth control isn't as bad as abortion...birth control is about how could be your family live life without worries and hassles.having alot of kids is a huge problem not only for the parents but also for the kids,of course you need to budget your money for everything...for their schools and everything...so i suggest you to help them with this otherwise this will be the biggest problem for them in the future...
Try finding more information about her condition and how having more kids is not good for her. Get more information about her religious belief if you don't know them already. Ask her husband about his opinion. Let them know that God care about people who care about themselves. Explain her how important is to care about herself so she can take care of this children. If she keeps on having more kids and she gets so sick and die who's gonna take care of the children. Tell her that sometimes there are exceptions to the rule, like in her case. In the world that we live one cannot have too many kids. No matter how much money we have but the individual attention of every child. This is important too, not only her beliefs but her children best interest.

Birth Control Is SOOO COnfusing...Can Somebody Help Me Understand It??

Like a site or something. Or if you want, type it up. I don't get the sugar pills and the hormone pills and they're jobs.=( Help!
Answer:
I'm putting some good sites in the sources, plus I'm typing up my explanation.

When an egg combines with a sperm and starts growing, it releases hormones that tell the body that you are pregnant. When the hormones reach the ovaries (where your eggs come from), the ovaries say "oh - we're pregnant - no need to send out more eggs" so the ovaries don't release a new egg the way they usually do once a month.

Birth control pills (and patches, and rings, and some IUDs) contain the same hormones the fertilized egg puts out, so they fool your ovaries into thinking there's already a baby growing, and the ovaries don't release a new egg.

You take the hormone pills for 21 days, and then stop taking them for 7 days. During those 7 days you have a period, but you're still protected against getting pregnant. Some pill packs just come with the 21 pills, and then you remember to wait 7 days before starting the next pill pack. Most pill packs have 21 hormone pills and 7 sugar pills, that way you're in the habit of taking a pill each and every day so you don't forget.

The sugar in the no-hormone pills doesn't do anything at all - it is not a medicine - it is just to give you something to swallow.

There are lots of variations now. Some pill brands have different levels of hormone at different times. Some even have a very little bit of hormone during the off days, to keep you more comfortable.

They used to think that your body really needed to have a period each month to stay healthy, but now they don't think so, and there are pills that you take continuously for three months and then a break, so you only have four periods a year, and new kind that will give you no periods at all.

Your doctor can help you decide which kind of pill is best for you. If you have bad effects from one kind of pill, the doctor can switch you to a different kind.

You can also get a ring with hormones that you keep in your vagina for three weeks, or a patch that you wear for three weeks, or shots every month or every three months, or an IUD that is inserted in your uterus and left for years.
www.plannedparenthood.com
The sugar pills are simply to help you maintain the routine of taking a pill at a scheduled time every day. Since they contain no hormones, your body cleanses itself through menses.

Then when you begin taking the hormone pills, the elevated levels fool your body into thinking that you are pregnant, so that you will not ovulate. Maintaining an even hormone level is crucial to preventing your body from releasing an egg, so that is why maintaining the regular scheduled time to take the pill every day is so important.

Birth Control Help?

I heard about this birth control pill that u take ever 3 months...and break for a period...its not depo..the shot..its an actual pill...its supposedly purple.or comes in a purple container...does anyone know what i am talkin about..any help would be great...thanks
Answer:
I think so. I think it's called Seasonal or something with an S. You only have 4 periods a year, once every three months. Not sure what it's called, but I remember seeing commercials about it.
yaz is the best one to take
no sorry
Seasonale, an oral contraceptive released in 2003, allows women to have their periods just once every three months.
It's Yaz works great and helps with acne. Talk to your Doctor to SEE if it's right for you.. BTW you take the pill everyday don't skip or you'll have breakthrough bleeding and you can experience breakthrough bleeding the first 2-3 months on it but once you get regulated it will resolve. most importantly the only pill that does not have wt gain there is also seasonal but you get wt gain and some other side effects with platelet problems. any pill taken consistently with out taking the week off will give you the same results but yaz is great for the wt gain issue
its called seasonell...not positive about the spelling, but i know what you are talking about. I used to work for a gynecologist and all the women on it LOVED it. they said that they gained about 10-15 pounds on it at first, but were able to lose it quickly.

Birth control help please!?

If my girlfriend is pregnant and keeps taking birth control what will happen to the baby.i dont need stupid comments just answers please
Answer:
I take birth control pills and the information packet that comes inside says that it should not affect the baby if you become pregnant while using them. Im sure she can call her doctor to ask and make sure. Im sure you already know that if she is pregnant, she should stop taking them.
buy her an EPT test and stop being stupid. if she is pregnant why would she take them, they are hormones.....
stop taking the birth control pills, and go see an obstetrics physician NOW.
if she is on birth control she won't get the baby for a while.
Nothing will happen and it will not cause her to lose the baby.
I can't remember what it says, but the directions in the box totally have a little blurb about it, so maybe check that out
Wow...you really need to get her to stop. Birth control messes with a woman's hormones and can really screw up things for a developing fetus or for her as well.
I'm not sure what will happen but it specifically says on the warnings: do not take if your are pregnant, nursing, or may become pregnant...you could ask a doctor but your best bet is to make sure to stop...if she is pregnant she can't get pregnant WHILE she is pregnant so what is the point in being on it anyway?
If she's pregnant she should stop taking the pill immediately. I'm not sure what it does to the baby I just know that it's not healthy.
Most birth control meds state in the packaging that they are considered unharmful to baby. However, they do warn that you should stop taking it immediately after finding out you're pregnant. Good luck!
What kind of birth control is she taking? It could harm the babys development if she doesn't stop if it is a chemical like the pill or the shot or the ring/patch. I would call your doctor and get his/her advice-they could tell you more. Why is she taking it still? Is she trying to abort the baby? Please consult a doc asap.
First of all if you think that she really is pregnant get a test done.
Get one at the drug store. I dont think that it will really harm the baby if she is taking birth control and is in fact pregnant. Many women have become pregnant while taking the pill for one reason or another. But if she is pregnant get her off the birth control pills and onto prenatal vitamins especially folic acid as this vitamin helps to prevent spina bifada.

If she isnt pregnant then make sure that you resolve your birth control issues. Buy a large box of condoms. Get her to take the pill regularly at the same time every day.

Good Luck
Birth control pills will not harm a pregnancy.but she should stop taking them if she is pregnant.

Birth Control Depression?

I had my birth control pills switched and since then I've been extremely depressed .. I was depressed before but it's gotten 1000x worse... I was wondering if the pills could be causing the depression to become worse?
Answer:
Could be---I took myself off of my birth control pills when my depression got worse, and I actually had to switch my meds to pull myself out of it.I also personally know a woman who went from being in remission from depression, to actively suicidal just from being on birth control for 4 days...anytime you finagle with your hormones, you risk depression, or worsening depression. Talk to your doc. You may need to switch pills, or even have your antidepressants up-ed (if you take them).
No, it should be something else.
Yes, this could be as a result of the birth control pill that you are on now. Please get in touch with your dr next week to let them know what's going on.
it can be a side effect consult your doctor about it
definitely. Differnt types of birth control can have different reactions with different people. Go back to your doctor and change the birth control cause it's not working for you.
That happened to me to. I was taking ortho at the time. I was depressed before but after i started taking it my depression worsened. I finally realized what it was a month before i stopped taking it. Now that i'm off it i feel so much better. Talk to your doctor about it and check out the side effects of the pill you're taking.
Yes, the hormones in birth control can mess with your emotions and make you feel depressed. One pill that I tried made me cry everyday for a month. But different pills have different estrogen levels and the lower estrogen level pills should have less emotional side effects. Loestrin has one of the lowest levels of hormones out of the different birth controls and I have had very few side effects with that.

Birth control causes breast augmentation?

So my question is, considering one of my friends who takes it to reduce menstrual cramps says that it caused her breasts to become bigger, is that permanent?

I asked her if it was because she is producing milk from the estrogen, and she said no she does not, they simply grew. and she didnt know if it was permanent.

So does anyone know if it is/is not/how oftten they return/do not return to normal size?

And why/how does this happen. and why is/is it not permanent?

A link to an article would suffice.

Thanks to anyone that can answer this question.
Answer:
Tell your friend not to worry. It's not due to birth control.

A woman's breast size can change throughout her adulthood.

My mom's have changed a few times and she has never taken birth control.

Mine have grown over the years as well.
some females who use the pill as a contraceptive hav found their breasts grow, its permanent

Birth control and traveling overseas - PLEASE HELP!?

I'm traveling to Australia in 3 weeks and I don't know how I'm supposed to take my birth control with all of the time changes that I'll be going through when I cross over the dateline - anyone know how to make sure I keep taking my birth control at the right time? I usually take it at 12pm. Thank you!!
Answer:
Take your watch with you (keep it set to YOUR normal time) and when it is 12 pm, take your pill, even if you have to wake up to do it.

Birth Control Alesse question?

I've been on Alesse for 6 years. Has anyone been on it about the same time or longer and have you ever had a problem with it?
Answer:
I was only on it for a year when I started experiencing break through and 4 week long bleeding.

Birth control (the shot)?

im 17 years old and have been on the pill about 3 times before, and decided to go on the shot just so in case i forgot to take it i wouldnt be risking anything. i have been having extremely bad crams for a few weeks and i spotted 2 days ago but then that was it, bled a spot then stopped, then i bled a little again today and thought i started my period but havent bled since that today. i know spotting is normal, but i have never spotted before in my life with birth control. and im pretty sure you dont get your period for 3 months because thats how long the shot lasts.

i need some answers... pleasee
Answer:
Give it some time, you body just needs to level out. Your period will probably stop altogether, you may have some spotting now and again, or a very light period, but that is pretty rare.
I have been on the shot for a year or a little longer. I love it! I had extremely bad cramps now i only get my period once every 3 months or so! The pill was to much work for me and it didnt even help with my cramps at all! and if you mess up your screwed right? anyway go for the shot! good luck to ya!

Birth Contol?

So I just got put on loestrogen birth contol and I have been on it for about 3 weeks now...well after about a week and a half of being on it I started my period(which she told me I would spot) but I have been bleeding really bad for about a week and a half now and it wont stop is that normal...because I cant get ahold of my doctor?
Answer:
No its not ok. If you are unable to get a hold of your doc then switch doctors. This could be something serious.
As long as you are not soaking more than 5 pads an hour, I wouldn't worry too much. It is normal to have break through bleeding when adjusting to a new birth control. Call your DR tomorrow if you are still worried, but I think you will be fine.
Some doctor, no that does not sound normal. It seems as if you body cant take those pills, try depo provera it stops your perioda after the 2nd shot, an u still spot but it very little. Plus it doesnt have estrogen which causes cancer.
The pill you are on may not be enough hormonally to keep your period regular. Usually you do just spot when you start some birth control pills. But if you're on Lo-Estrin, there may not be enough estrogen in it to regulate your period. So it is normal that you would be bleeding like if you had your period. Especially since it was only 10 days into the pill that this all came about..give your doc a call when they are back in the office just to let them know what is going on.
I remember when I got started on the pill, my period seemed out of whack at first. But soon, I was on a schedule, and having nice light 3 day periods everytime. Maybe your body is just adjusting to the pill? If it doesn't stop soon, or if you are bleeding heavier than normal, definately get ahold of some health care professional. Maybe you need something with a different dosage of hormones to even you out. If you keep bleeding even after a pill, it may be an ovarian cyst. My friend gets these a lot, and she'll basically have her period all month.
You have nothing to worry about at this point, as long as you are not soaking pads left and right. Call your doctor's office and ask to speak with the nurse if the doctor is not available. She will be able to answer your questions, pass on your concerns to the doctor and get back to you as to what the doctor has to say. If you are not happy with the way your doctor is handling your case, find another doctor.

Biological clock urges are too strong. what can be done to treat a hormone imbalance?

can you please explain to me what could be going on? i'm not self diagnosing. but there are a lot of signs that point to a hormone imbalance. my cycle is about every 35-45 days... i go into these hormone rage things (they are usually exasserbated by caffeine... which i have stopped consuming) and i get dizzy and don't remember a lot of what happened during that day. it's so strange. i hate feeling this way. and everytime i go into these hormone rage things i want a baby, very very badly. i am not the type of person to want a baby. i'm not sure if i ever want them. but when i get a surge of hormones (via caffeine or my time of the month) everything goes hay-wire. my breasts get a little larger, i cry easily (i'm not a cryer... very rarely do i cry), i get baaaaad headaches, and cramps... i don't know what is going on. i hate suffering like this all the time. it happens a couple times a month and i have to call on family and hubby to calm me down. what's going on?
Answer:
You probably have some extreme PMS. But at any rate, your best bet is to have a doctor check you out.
you don't mention your age, a natural supplement like black cohosh can help with hormone issues, but it sounds to me if you suspect hormones are the problem then see your gyno or an endocrinologist, could be something else going on! hope this helps!
I was put on birth control for my hormonal imbalance.

Biological Clock at 25?

I am 25 years old and yearning for a baby. Is this normal, and why do I feel like I'm running out of time? I've always thought I can't get pregnant but maybe i just havent been with the right people.
Has anyone else experienced these feeling so early in life? Is it too early to feel this way?
Answer:
It's normal to get "baby fever" once in a while. But that's no reason to put the cart in front of the horse and have a baby with just anybody! Find the right guy first, then worry about whether or not you can get pregnant. You have many, many years to have babies!

Binding?

what the hell is binding to make your breast look small?
Answer:
You wrap material around your breasts, like ace bandage or something as tight as you can withstand. "Supposedly" it is supposed to obstruct growth. In the ancient ages, the Chinese used to do this with there feet.

Bilat breast biopsy?

I have read that having a benign tumor means it won't spread, that it is just a cell that keeps growing because something is wrong with it. If that is the case, how do you end up having on in one boob, then 4 months later, discover another one in the other? I am having surgery next week to remove both, just curious as to what it means. The dr. also said it looked smooth in the ultrasound, but she doesn't like how fast they have grown. The first one I discovered 4 months ago has grown 2.5/3 times it's size! It's about 3.8cm-2.0cm I believe and the other is about half that size... The dr. also didn't tell me that they were Benign, just that it is a possibility it is.
Answer:
You did not say how old you are. There are benign tumors that young women get and there are cycts that older women get
These links talk about cycts for women 40 and above

Bikiniiii ;]?

how do i get rid of hair around my vagina that can be seen when i wear my bikini?! help please :]
Answer:
You can get cream hair remover, or buy the special little shavers that are made especially for that area. I would suggest the cream though because it is less painful. =]
wax or shaveing
well you can either wax it, or shave it. just be careful cause if you shave it you may get bumps and it may itch like crazy the first couple times you do it. but its worth it, trust me! well good luck!
shave it or wax it off. i shave and i dont get bumps or itching so it's not that bad.
shave it, or wax it...
shave around your twat, that will get rid of it.

Bikini wax while on your period?

can you get your bikini waxed while on your period.
i started my period today, and i was supposed to get my bikini waxed monday or tuesday. if i wear a tampon can i still get it done?
Answer:
Gross!! If you do, I pity the person who has to do it for you. That's so nasty. Reschedule please!
i agree...reschedule

EDIT: your period is 6 days? sorry to hear that but if it's absolutely necessary i guess go for it
I would reschedule for a couple of reasons:
1. as a courtesy to the waxer
2. if you retain any water while on your period, your skin will be more tender and it will hurt more to get waxed.
I'm sure you can still have it done. Just tuck the string in so it's not seen. They will never know.

What's wrong with the people who said no? Unreal.
i would do it on another day, cuz some people say it hurts more when your on your period and getting it waxed
You could, but it would be kind of gross. And on top of that, you would be in more pain than you would be if you werent on your period.

Bikini Razor Burn!!? OMG!!?

Please help...
last night for the first time i shaved my WHOLE female private part [lol]. And now i have razor burn, it hurts SOO bad i walk funny too [with my legs apart!]. Please tell me some remedies to fix this problem it burns!
OUCH!
thank you.
~AnnaMarie
Answer:
Razor burn is an irritation of the skin that can have many causes - in your case the cause was shaving a sensitive area that had never been shaved before.

The WORST thing you can do when you have razor burn is to do anything else that might irritate the skin, and applying creams or lotions will definately irritate it more (because of the fragrances and other ingrediants in creams/lotions).

The best thing to do now is to apply cold cloths to the area several times a day to soothe the skin, and to relieve the itching/burning feeling apply plain aloe vera gel.

Wear soft cotton underwear that fits properly -- not to tight, not to loose because tight or loose can cause friction between fabric and body and you really don't want that additional irritation right now.

Don't let this one experience with razor burn scare you away from shaving the area in the future - but from now on when you shave the bikini area, make sure you are using a bikini area razor (and use a new one each time to prevent razor burn from a dull razor), and plenty of shaving cream or shaving lotion so that the shaving is smooth to reduce irritation.

Shave in the direction that the hair grows (from the thigh inwards on each side, and shaving downwards in the front).

You can find bikini area electric razors that work very well and are made specifically for female bikini shaving, which would also reduce the chances of getting razor burn.

Most of all remember that razor burn usually only lasts for a few days... even the razor burn from "first time bikini" shaving will subside in a few days, so even though it feels horrible right now, it won't feel awful for very long -- and the best part is that the worst is over.. now that you have gotten the "first time" razor burn, the area will be less sensitive when shaving in the future, so as long as you use a good razor and good shaving cream and shave in the right directions, you should never have horrible razor burn again.

But for now, use cool washcloths and plain aloe vera gel to soothe the area.

I hope that helps!!
i read from a magazine tat apply some creams tat have cucumbers in it or use fresh cut slices of cucumbers..tat should ease the burn.hope it helps ...try it..
Use after shave and dont ware panties for the rest of the night.
Burn ointments or other antibiotic creams will solve/prevent infection. For minor razor burns and to protect the skin from irritation when in contact with clothings (which hurts), try applying a thin layer of pure white petroleum jelly.
This usually happens the first few times you shave down there, but afterwards, it is so worth it! Do not put lotion on it, it will make it burn a lot more. I usually do not use shaving cream or after shave lotion. I use conditioner to shave, and then conditioner afterwards to soothe and moisturize it.

Good luck!
well razor burn happens to the best of us....what ever you do dont put any scented lotion on it that will make it worse.im not sure what you can do at the moment to stop the pain but next time you shave make sure your razor is not dull i use a mach 3 turbo for men (it curves to fit your shape) also try pulling the skin tight it kinda lifts the hair for a closer shave and also do short gentle strokes (not long ones like your legs)
but the razor is the key the mach 3's are expensive as far as razors are concerned but totally worth it and since mens facial hair is very course (thick) it works really well on pubes
if you let it gorw back and then go in for another attempt at baldness try trimming it a bit with small sharp scissors before you shave it to make the job easier for the razor
good luck

Biggerbras? Where to get them?

Hello

My gf is a 30e size and i am having trouble finding her size in shops. On the net they seem to be very expencive (Over 拢40 for one)

Any one know any shops or websites for bigger cups? So far marks and spencers is the only good shop but theres only so many bras you can have from one shop.

Why am I posting this in health? At the moment shes wearing a 32d which I dont think is to healthy.
Answer:
I'm a 36 E myself. And that doesnt make me fat (I'm not skinny either mind!)
I'd recommend Ann Summers, they usually have a good variety in sizes or can order them in. There are also catalogues. Marks and Spencers used to do them, not sure anymore. Debenhams and TK Maxx are also worth a shot!Hope this helps.
ur a boy.. omg
Victoria's Secret? If you have them in England...
Try Victoria Secret.
Dude why are you dating a girl so big. You do know that there are small chicks out there. I guess it true what they say--there is somebody for everybody.
Bravissimo.
They are great ! I use them.
web site is www.bravissimo.com
They have a shop in Brighton,i went there to be fitted and they were very good! They go up to very big -and pretty bras!
Go to Lane Bryant or Lane Bryant.com they have beautiful bras that go up to that size or bigger I think you would like what you see for your big busted lady
http://www.bravissimo.com/ here ya go and theyve got bikinis etc for summer to :0) xx
www.simplyyours.co.uk - caters for larger boobs at reasonable prices- it is better though to go and fit them on because they vary from store to store. Places like Asda and Tesco have also introduced bigger sizes and very reasonable prices too.
http://www.jcpenney.com
http://www.justmysize.com
http://www.figleaves.com

I was a 38J (US size) and the first two links are great for bigger chested women. I've also heard good things about the figleaves site.

The only thing about a 32D is she may have health issues due to her big breasts. If she does she could look into a breast reduction. If she doesn't have any health issues then there is nothing wrong with them.
I found a seller on Ebay, it's called no1boobalicious and they sell bras for the bigger bust at very reasonable prices. You could try there Honey.
asda
Hiya hun,

I'm a 36FF so I know the problem your gf has. Unfortunately, the only place I've found good bra's is the wonderbra shop, they are expensive but last a long time and they are comfortable.
xxxx
Jordan aka Katie Price, now has her own range of bras and underwear. These are sold in Asda and they are for the more bigger busted women! They are pretty and affordable! :)
try www.bravissimo.com. they go from a D to a J

Bigger boobs... Fat in boobs?

Hey... well i wanted to know is there a way to get more fat into your boobs without getting it everywhere else?
Answer:
Nope. Gaining weight will allow you to gain in the breasts BUT you will gain it everywhere.
Not that I know of.
No, that's one of those unfortunate things girls have to put up with!
You could try arm excercies, depending which ones, they can tone up the muscles underneath your breasts. ( say if you try holding your arms outwards, then going in out, etc)

use the cream it good for u more informatin

BIG CHUNK in my throat....yucky?

I am 34wks pregnant and been extreamly stressed out and upset the last few days.
I have this huge lump like feeling in my throat it wont go away and feels like I need to really burp all the time or vommit. Does any one know what it could be? Is there any way to get rid of it? PLZ help so Yucky feeling.

Oh and also I have been VERY short of breath.
Answer:
Acid reflux.
Or the baby is pressing on your diaphragm which in turn is pressing your stomach.

I hope you are in prenatal care.
If you are worried about it, why waste you time here?
Call the Dr.
It's your nerves,dear.
maybe u are nervous about the birth hun.
If you are very short of breath you should seek urgent medical attention to make sure you recover faster then leaving it get worse/better
you sound like you have a permanent feeling of that nervousnessyou get before a speech in front of your whole high school.

maybe you are just scared
Pregnant ladies can suffer from depression as well as anxiety especially in the first pregnancy. Feeling a lump could be due 2 these psycho logical problems. However, if it remains all the time, u should see an ENT specialist.
Getting short of breath in 34th week is due 2 the fact that ur enlarged uterus is pushing the diaphragm up against the lungs. U would get some relief by having regular walks %26 by using a bed whose head can be lifted a bit so u do not sleep flat, the diaphragm goes a little down giving more breathing space 2 lungs.
It could be a goiter (thyriod) and childbirth can bring that on when you go back to your doctor tell him see if he can feel a lump. A woman i know had this to happen when she went into labor her eyes almost popped out yes this is true I cannot remmber the name of this but it is a thyriod problem . This lady has now underwent 6 eye surgeries because her eyes got so big and they are still not back to normal size. Thyriod can mean life or death so don't put this off tell your doctor soon.

Big breast'ed women ONLY, plz?

I have large breast. I want to know if this bothers you as much as it does me?? I am in denial in so many ways (that I am not as big as I really am)... are there any more women out there that feel this way and how do you handle the pressure? Do people look at your breast before they look at your eyes?
Answer:
I completely understand how you feel. I have larger breasts and am always self conscious about them. My trick is to get clothes that make me comfortable. Also make sure you have the right size bra, for awhile I was in denial and wearing a bra that was to small, so when i had a shirt on they looked even bigger. But to tell you the truth the only thing that is going to make you feel better is to accept that you have larger breasts. It is something we have to accept and work on becoming comfortable with.
I've been dealing with this since I was 13. It got to the point that I would say "my eyes are up here, not in my chest". Men would get really embarrassed! LOL - I often thought of getting reduction surgery but why should I go through all that pain just because certain people are rude jerks? I guess I've just accepted what I have. I found a husband who is never disrespectful about my body and this helped me out a lot. I know embarrassing others isn't exactly the most mature thing to do when they are staring but it put a stop to it most of the time. Stick with people in your life who don't stare and see you for who you really are! And, if someone makes a rude comment, say something like, "Did you go to the rude store and stock up on rude?" LOL - After awhile I hope you don't take these people seriously. They are jerks and are so not worth your time or effort.
I, too, have large breasts. Luckily, I have not had the physical problems that some women with large breasts have -- it has not made by back hurt and I don't have pain in my shoulders from bra straps digging in. Nevertheless, it is not always easy. I think I have experienced all of the things you speak of, and I have found that when I don't obsess over it or worry about it, I can overlook the stupid reactions and the idiotic people who act a fool. Try to focus on the overall picture of who you are -- remember, there are lots of women (probably more than the ones who have our 'problem') who are flat-chested and actually get SURGERY and sometimes get mutilated, just because they want large breasts. Just be a lady, enjoy your femininity and don't let the jerks get you down. Check out all the old-time movie stars who were pin-up girls and had fun with being all woman and glamorous! Have fun with it and lighten up!
I am a 36 G cup.
yes it pees me off, the back ache etc.
I got a tee shirt saying please talk to my face!

Big Boobs?

guys my sister has a size f, girls with large boobs, does it bother u?
Answer:
I have boobs of this size and guys dont seem 'bothered' by it.. in fact they love em!
They should be proud, I have naturally big boobs, any guy I have dated have worshipped them, I am glad to be blessed like that, plenty of women pay money to get what I got for free.
big boobs are not attractive.. who wants a pair of saggy swingers down at your knees when your 40?
thats about the right size these dayz.
im a size 32 f and i think the guys like them but i do try to hide them away !
Lucky her!! I would love to have much bigger breasts than I have.
Depends. If she's built like something Greenpeace would shove into the sea when she sunbathes, then it's all in proportion. Fine, no problem.
If she's built like Paris Hilton otherwise, she's gonna have two things.
A lot of difficulty seeing her toes, and a chronically bad back.
Big boobs are over rated anyway. I don't particularly understand any woman who thinks they need bigger than they've got.
Stupidity is when it gets to the stage my ex wife was at. Very nice 36D chest. Bit bigger than I really like but I had no problems there.
She, on the other hand, wanted them bigger.
Why the hell would you need any bigger than that?
Yeah it does bother me a bit. Some of the girls envy it and some say its big for me cause I'm small size. I do wish I have smaller boobs.Just imagine this, I'm a tomboy with big boobs, I think it's kinda funny lol.
depends if they are saggy or not. if they are not, then it would be really beatiful if she is fit and not fat

Big boobs yes or no?

i have 36d boobs, and find they get in the way ,haha!i would love 2 have little boobs,do u girls feel the same?
Answer:
I kinda like my C cups:)
Speaking as a male interloper, I would not mind any kind of boobs as long as they are natural..natural is great, why change anything...it's the person you are that counts.
Best wishes, Mike.
36D is just right - dont make them smaller!
I would love to have your size boobs!
I had really small boobs (barely an A) and i felt like such a boy!
I've put weight on since then and my boobs have grown but not that big (B/C) I'm so much happier with how they are now compared to before, but i would LOVE them to be bigger

I really say keep yours how they are, people pay a lot of money to have your size! haha
Mine are 42D and I would like them to be BIGGER - preferably a F or G cup
keep them big
Yes! I recently got re-measured and was horrified when I was told that I was also a 36D. I will admit that the boyfriend loves them but I don't! I would love to have a nice small frame and average sized boobs back! I feel huge!

Big and sagging boobs?

If I do push ups and wear push up bras or minimisers, can my boobs get firmer?
Answer:
Breasts don't have any real muscle that can do what you are asking, but you can do exercises that will strengthen the muscles around the bust area but it wont make much difference to your breasts if they are very saggy.
NO. Sorry I wish also that were the case. Genetics is to blame. The only solution is surgery.
YOUR CHEST WILL BE FIRMER
IF U DO CHEST EXERCISES
IT WILL TIGHTEN U UP, BUT EXERCISE
HAS TO BE INCREASED.
BEST
no your stuffed, tuck em in your knickers!!
If you do pushups the muscle around the breast will support them better.
i know what you mean lol mine are the same but theres nothing we can do but if you do find a remedy please tell me :0) good luck and great question ! star for you !
boobs are mostly fat and no muscle, you can't tone fat up if you loose wait they might shrink but that depends on how big you are and your age

Bicomak uterus?

Answer:
It's bicornuate uterus. Essentially, it's a "heart-shaped" uterus. I have a bicornuate uterus myself.

Here is some info on the many different uterine anomalies, including bicornuate uterus.

Between period discharge?

a week before my period i have a brownish discharge. I was on the pill for 4 years and came off it 5 months ago due to this reason. About 14 days into my pack i started with this discharge. I came off the pill hoping it will stop and my cycle would turn back to normal(no discharge). What could it be? I have no pain or anything sinister. Is it just part of my cycle and hormones?
Answer:
It's common to have mid-cycle spotting when on the pill and it can take about 2-3 months off the pill for your cycle to go back to normal. But it sounds like you're back on the pill again. You may have to switch from pill to pill to find one that works well with you. See if they'll put you on a lower dose of hormones. I hear there's less spotting with the NuvaRing and on Yaz than anything else.
Depends how old you are, as you get older things change from when you are in your teens. If in doubt see your doc, it will put your mind at ease so you worry less about it.
It sounds as if you have cancer. BRAIN cancer if you think that the random juvenile here is going to provide you with a meaningful medical diagnosis. Good luck with that. Hey, my elbow hurts; what could it be?

Best way to lose 20 pounds in 3 weeks?

right now its june 17th and i want to lose at least 20 pounds by july 12th. i currently weight 157, which i am ashamed i got this big but if anyone could help me i would really appreciate it. i've tried dieting, excessive exersizing, and diet pills but nothing seems to work. please anyone!!
Answer:
actually, it is possible. its going to be tough, and you might not lose all 20 pounds, but probably 10 at the minimum. i've been trying to lose weight too, and its been going pretty successfully. my results might be different because of our age/weight difference, but heres what you do. 1. do not eat as much. this does not mean starve yourself, but you have to really limit your self. for snack foods, go very easy, but special k bars, especially if you like chocolate like me, are very good. they have "chocolate drizzle" for only 90 calories and they give you a burst of protein and energy. 2. run. i have an elliptical, and i do 20 minutes on a program. i can usually burn about 300 calories in one session. after that, for a cooldown, i go on a bike ride. not a relaxing bike ride, but on with a couple of hills. and no joke, yesterday i ran and did an 8-mile bike ride, and i lost THREE pounds. in one day. so remember, dont kill yourself. no starving. diet pills, vomiting, none of that. you can do it.
don't even try-- short of losing an arm, it won't happen. if you do manage to find a way, you'll feel like crap and look like crap 'cause you'll have lost water weight n muscle mass (not fat) and you'll be all jiggly and gross. slow and steady is the only way to lose
That's really too much weight to lose in that short of time, but drink ALOT of water and cut out meats and fast food. You'll see a diffence in just changing your way of eating, but I don't know about the 20 lbs.

One other thing, if 20 lbs is ALL you have to lose, be thankful. There are way more women in this world that WISH 20 lbs is all they had to lose.me, being one of them.
don't eat!
cut out carbs, drink nothing but water(lots of it) and do cardio! good luck!!
It is dangerous to lose 20 lbs in this amount of time. Best way to do it is with a nutristionist or with doctors help. Slow and steady will not only help you lose it but keep it off!! Hope this helps

Best way to get rid of underarm hair.?

i got underarm hair a few weeks ago i didnt know what it was so i just left it, now its long
i've tried using my moms raser but it really hurts because it nipping me.

whats the best way?
Answer:
shaving is the best way...just be really careful and soap the underarm really well before shaving it...takes a while to get used to...
You could use VEET stuffs..

but razors shouldn't be hurting you unless you're doing the wrong thing. Why don't you try again and see if it hurts :D

you could also try plucking, but that could worsen it and more painful.
well why don't you just tell your mom that you need to start shaving. ask for a shaving lesson when she gets a you a razor.
P.S don't use your moms razor because it's not good to share razors. also, never shave when your body is dry! thats why you keep nicking your self!
u just started having this, trimming with a clipper will be better for now.

Best way to discipline myself to stop touching my face?

Lately, i always seem to be touching my face... and it's starting to show. my skin isn't smooth anymore, and i have a lot of zits around my nose. help?!?!
Answer:
touching hair or ear or even face is a nervous habit but my advice would be to get one of these squishy balls to play with when u want to touch Ur face.
touch your hair instead, or ear
If your skin can stand it, try wearing a light powder make-up. After you finish getting make-up all over your papers and everything, you'll learn to stop touching your face!
Find something to do with your hands so you don't have time to touch your face, like knitting, scrapbooking, etc, if those things dont' interest you, what about getting some super long fake fingernails so you have trouble touching your face, they would poke it. hmm, other things you can do is maybe wear alot of rings to distract you so you'd play with them on your fingers instead of touching, anything that would distract you would be good.
I have the same problem
The best thing to do is to be aware of it.Then you can stop it.
You can put a loose rubber band around your wrist and that will act as a reminder.

I know it's hard.
wear a bracelet to remind you not too. also i don't think habits can be gotten rid of but they can be replaced so just twirl your hair instead!

try the Diva cup or OB I think they are best.
tampax pearl. thats the only kind i will use
I LOVE tampax pearl! I used playtex sport for my period lst month and they leaked bad!
the pearl is the best
Playtex sport. It's best for insertion, DEFINETLY more comfortable than pearl, and I have never once encountered leaking with it.

Best tampon ever?

plz tell
Answer:
I think the tampax pearl is the best. It's curved style and small but effective design is perfect for both my light flow days or my super extreme can't get out of the house days. They cost a little more per unit but in the long run you end up spending less.
I love playtex and their plastic applicators.
Tampax Pearl
O.B. in my opinion
I love Tampax Pearl.
I love Tampax Pearl, and Playtex is also a good brand.
playtex no way the stuff they use to make it silky, makes it to where the tampon doesn't catch as much blood.i say tampax you can't go wrong.
OOH! I LUV platex with the plastic applicators! That was one of the first ones I used and they are soo absorbant. Like tampax are ok but I've noticed that they dont relly absorb too much and they leack pretty easily. But playtex on the other hand are super absorbant. Lately Ive been getting tampax but I would soo say playtex with the plastic applicators!
:)
tampax pearl! :) they are easy and i cant feel them i dont even feel like im on my period!! they are great!! i luv the wrapper!
I love Tampax Pearl.
I love Tampax Pearl use the plastic not the cardboard
tampax sport.

Best Tampon Brand?

Well i am very athletic what brand of tampons should i use i was thinking about using Playex Sport one thing this is my first time so im looking for begginers tampons and what tampon brand do you consider i should use and what brand do you use.
Answer:
i was going to say just plain playtex, because that is what I use but than upon reading your entire question, you actually answered it yourself, because if you are new to tampons then you are in the exact situation that my daughter is in right now,(or for the last 2 monthes anyway) and she tells me that for her that the playtex sport is by far the most comfortable for her, so hopefully coming from one teen that will help another. If you are a teen that is, if not i am sure that you don't mind being referred to as one, good luck sweetie.
i use kotex because they are plastic and the slide in so much easier so they dont hurt or anything. good luck!! =)
Playtex Gentle Glide...the pink box
I use Tampax Pearl. I am a dancer and they stay in great. They are easy to put in and easily come out. My little sister used them as her first tampons when she first started. She didn't have any problems with them either. Try them!
Athletic or not, I would suggest you buy a tampon that is comfortable, regardless of whether it is labeled "sport" or not. I find that the most comfortable tampons are Playtex Beyond. But if you are looking for beginners tampons, I would recommend OB tampons because there's no applicator to confuse you with, especially when you're a beginner and you have no idea what you're doing.
yes, playtex sport are very good, you can buy the light size for begginers. i play sports and i use playtex sport or tampax pearl. either are comfortable. GOOD LUCK!
10points?!
PLAYTEX
I use Tampax Pearl. They were my first tampons and they work great for me. Good luck!
If its your first time using a tampon, try playtex slimfits. They are great for active teens and dont leak.
tampax pearl... ive never experienced a leak w/ them!!
i used to use tampax pearl but the applicator is kind of slippery. now i use kotex and the applicator is a little bigger and alot easier to hang on to. they are good for sports too. just never use scented any kind of tampons, even if you already know this but they can cause infections.

Best shampoo for greasy hair?

Im 42 and have started to get greasy hair after the birth of my daughter 5 years ago
is it hormonal or just one of those things ?
Answer:
Any shampoo that's marked as Gentle for daily or frequent washing. Use a dry shampoo or talcum powder between washings. Not only will the powder soak up oils, but it adds body as well. Consider using a spray conditioner. They tend to be more light-weight %26 therefore don鈥檛 weigh the hair down. Also, unless your hair is extra-oily, there鈥檚 no need to 鈥榬inse %26 repeat.鈥?One shampoo will do you. You don鈥檛 have to lather twice.
NOT DOVE! Use a clarifying shampoo, anykind will get the job done.
Unfortunately I cannot help you with whether its hormonal, but i can advise t-gel/neutregena shampoo for greasy hair, its the only thing that has worked for me - i also avoid conditioners (even ones apparently for greasy hair) like the plauge.
Not sure about the answer to the hormonal thing but as for the shampoo I find Head and Shoulders really good. Matched with the conditioner it gives a really good shine to the hair as well.

Was a life saver as a greasy haired hormonal teenager!!
I used to have greasy hair and found that Tea tree shampoo and conditioner always works well and you can use it as often as needed
herbel essence works wonders or vo5 plus use the same conditioner for which ever you choose 2 use
i use prell we have i guess genetically bad hair lol prell works pretty good
i find Head and Shoulders for greasy hair or for frequent use helps me my hairs always bad first thing in the morning and at night
My hairdresser has always advised me to use more than one brand of shampoo as this can stop a build up of product on the hair. I alternate between herbal essences and VO5 tea-tree.

Best pill to enlarge the breast?

iam 26yrs old unmarried ,my breast size is too small.i wanted to enlarge the size without any surgery, so suggest me any good pill.
Answer:
Sperm pill, lol.
Please be happy with your size. I'm a 38G and I wish so much that I was a size A. Large breasts do not necessarily mean good things. Just wear a padded bra and thank your lucky stars that you won't have stretch marks and your boobs won't sag to your knees later.
i think you need a pill to help you realize that most guys dont REALLY care how big your **** are. they give it a lot of lip service (pun intended) but most dont always want huge juggs.

be happy with who and what you are. thats the secret.
i don't know if there are any pills besides me lol,
ummm... talk to your doctor, besause the last thing you want to do if find a pill online and pay a packet for it to find out it just dosent work... or worse it has side effects...
good luck
oh and besides all the hype most guys prefer smaller boobs... i have been fortunate enough to have A,B,C,D,DD,E,F (pretty much one in all sizes)
and honestly i prefer the smaller sizes, my fav is B %26 C
No pills my pet, just exercise and exercise.

You see the breast has no mussels of it own, but the surrounding areas are mussels.

So if you strengthen and exercise the mussels around the breast it will lift them up and you will have a nice look. Why always bigger, more than a hand full is waste anyway.

Be yourself and be proud and LOL do the exercises.
There is no such thing as Breast enlarger pill...those things are really waste of money and nonsense. Don't waste your time and money on those and don't even worry about your breast size. It's all about what you have in your brain and your character as a person. Be happy for what God gave you and don't concentrate on negative things.
you don't know how lucky you are not to have big breast
BIRTH CONTROL.

Best option between these two would be?

Okay, So I have boobs that are 38DD. I was wondering which surgery would benefit me the most;Breast lift or Reduction? The only problem is, is that my boyfriend says he enjoys my boobs the size they are and that they are what attracted him to me. He also says that he doesn't know if he can still be attracted to me if I went down to a mid-high C cup, but he would still love me.What should I do about both of these?
Answer:
Neither
You don't need surgery.
Your bf should love you for more than your sweater meat.
How old are you, and have you had children? Having kids can alter your breast size, both up and down -- it depends on the woman. But they WILL become more pendulous with time (thank you, gravity).

All I can say for sure is never EVER do anything based upon whether or not a man says he'll be more or less attracted to you. Do what is right for YOU -- and heed the advice of your plastic surgeon. In fact, consult more than one. Good luck!
are you old enough to need a lift? lose weight, that will make them smaller naturally.
Reduction. Go to a big C, and keep them perky, and he will definitely love your breasts!
Reduction will help with current or future back pain. A lift? Not sure on that one. When my 'girls' are up in a support bra, my upper back KILLS me.
Losing weight will make them smaller, too.
D
if your boyfriend is with you for your boobs, get rid of him. he's not helping your decision. do you have medical problems because of them? does your back hurt? are they sagging? for your questions to be answered, you need to be seen by a plastic surgeon. if you are having medical problems, sometimes insurance can take care of it. if not, then it'll be out-of-pocket. losing weight is not always the solution. mine actually got bigger when i did that (same size as you). if you lost fat, then they will sag. have you had kids?
Please don't base a surgical alteration of your body on anyone's opinion but your own. You are the one who has to live with the potential consequences/benefits, so it might as well be something you did for yourself!

That was really crappy of him to say, too. I definitely wouldn't base a decision like this on his opinion, since he seems shallow enough to be focused only on your breasts. But hey, I could be missing the mark.
find a more supportive and understanding boyfriend
First off, love is NOT determined by the size of your breasts. If he is stating that he could not withstand a breast reduction, you are with the wrong man. Your personality, friendship, your humour is what should be keeping him around. not your boobs.

I would go for a reduction in your case. Why? You will find bras more easily and more comfortable ones too. And you will also spare yourself from back pain. Larger breasted women get back pain more so that smaller breasted women.

Bottom line, do what YOU want to do. Dont let him determine your outcome.
A lift would just stop them from being saggy and you would have to pay for it.

If you get a reduction, a lift usually goes with it and it can be covered by insurance if you have back pain neck pain or shoulder pain.

The reduction to me is totally worth it. Don't base your decision on if your b/f will like it or not, base it on your health!

If he can't support a decision to better your health, find a new man who WILL.

Best medicine for menstrual cramps? Midol any better than Tylonel?

Which one is the best, or are they all pretty much the same? Do different ones work in different ways and treat different symptoms?

Thanks.
Answer:
Midol has caffeine in it so you don't feel as groggy. Honestly, either one of them will get rid of the cramps.
Check the ingredients but mostly the same. I have to take 3 xtra strength Tylenol.
Aleve knocks the pain out RIGHT away!
Midol is better than Tylenol but I usually take Motrin if I have any,. I always take double or triple the recommended about when my cramps are really bad.
I swear by Pamprin. I has always helped when nothing else will. If you have to take all day take pamprin and in 4 hours take tylonel. Even when it's not that time pamprin works for many problems.

Best haircut for a guy?

I have a couple of cowlicks which effects what type of haircut I can get. What haircut do the girls like best that would also look good on me?
Answer:
just buzz or shave it. depends on your head chape but cowlicks really suck! and it makes hair look real goofy. so just shave it, esp in the summer, thats hot!
the kind that make your mama wish she wasn't your mama
ask your stylist. shave it military close - girls dig that
i think the old saying "it's not the clothes that make the man, its the man that makes the clothes" can be applied here too. go with whatever you like, and be confident about your choice and you can't go wrong.
i say shave it. it looks clean and is great for the hot weather, but remember to put sunscreen on it!
High and tight. MMMM.. That is my hubby's military haircut.

Tell your barber.. they will know what you are talking about. It's HOT!

;-)
get a g (G I)haircut, like they give the army guys.
2 things. 1 about the haircut. shave your head!!! and 2 why r u posting things about your hair in womens health?

Best female deorderant and antiperspirant?

I have tried them all! Which is the most affective plz? I don't know if i sweat more than the average person or whether it because im highly active. but im SICK of wet underarm patches! So, aside from seeing a doctor- best female deoderant antiperspirant plz?
Answer:
if you've "tried them all", there is no other alternative. visit your doctor.
I personally found that Soft and Dri dri gel works the best.
Dove antisprint deoderant it really works for up to 12 hours...hope it helps..
I tend to sweat a lot also, and I recently just picked up secret's new "clinical strength" deoderant, it has the strength of a prescription deoderant but you can get it over the counter, it worked great for me, have you tried it?
Have you tried Mitchum or Micham i think it's called it's meant to be the strongest
UK
Dove is very good
I use Sure with aloe vera, seems to work, good luck x
I use Dove, it smells nice, and it's creamy and gentle, especially after shaving. And it don't leave white marks.
Secret works for me
The Nivea Pearl Beauty Deaodrant works wonders for me.. and I get really bad sweat too! I hate it :(
I have the same problem. Mitchum (spray) is the only thing that comes close to working for me. That, and not wearing tops that are synthetic or too fitted around my armpits.
mitcham is apparently good for people who sweat alot!

i always use sure!!

maybe if you cant find anything U shud visit your GP!
had the same problem. try BAN ... any sent... the dry not roll on...
I used to have the same exact problem! I'd always have to wer sweaters over my shirts even in the Winter because I'd always sweat for no reason and end up with big circles - not attractive. Well, try Certain Dri antiperspirant! It is prescription strength with out a prescription. It works amazing! It take about a little less than a week to start working, but is really worth it when you don't have to worry about ANY underarm sweat. This stuff shrinks your underarm sweat pores, not allowing sweat to pass through. Beware though, it is not a deodorant so it won't help with smell. Use regular nice smelling deodorant as well. I hope this works as great for you as it did for me! BEST ANTIPERSPIRANT EVER!
I use Mitchum, works for up to 2 days (yes really), available in roll-on or spray. Or you could use Fengal, works just as well (available in Boots).

Best diets and ways to lose weight?

I have over a hundred pounds to lose. I want to have a baby soon but want to lose some more weight before we try. I have lost about 70 lbs over the past 1 1/2 or so, about 50 of that with weight watchers. I got off track and gained about 20 back and am now back on weight watchers but trying the core plan this time because i couldnt get back on the flex plan. ive only lost about 5 pounds in a month. i really want to lose the weight faster so i can have a child. any suggestions PLEASE?
Answer:
avoid adding salt totally from your food and eat a salt less food for one month and you will see that you have lost weight without losing your health because without the additional salt the fat cannot accumilate in your body and the natural salt found in the vegetables is enough for your good health.
Just try sticking to your plan and being really good.
First of all, congrats on your weight loss. I think when you want to lose weight you have to find what works best for you. I was 190 and lost weight by eating what I liked but in smaller amounts and spacing out my eating more. I have a job which requires a lot of moving around and I ride a bike about 5 times a week for 45 minutes. I am a strong believer that exercise is at least half of losing weight and keeping it off. I used to weigh 190 and have weighed 130-140 lbs. for the last 4 years. Am 5'8."
If you have been in Weight Watchers you know well what it takes to lose weight. The only possible thing that could be missing is motivation. Overweight women have gestation and birth problems thatt can affect the mental and physical health of the infant for a lifetime. If that is not motivation enough you do not want to lose weight badly enough or have a baby badly enough to do what is necessary to be a good mother and role model. And obesity does not make your child particularly proud of you.
Weight Watchers is a great program. Good for you for sticking with it, however you also need some sort of exercise plan. Try to think of SOMETHING you can do for 20-30 minutes 4 or five days a week.
Even just a walk...
Little things can help too...
Take the stairs instead of the elevator
Park far away in the parking lot at the grocery store
Ride your bike once a week.
Once a week, Eat at a restaurant that is within Walking distance to your house.

Might be a pain at first but pretty soon, it doesnt even matter.

Best of Luck to you!
Exercise is important. Do you have a daily workout? 1/2hr of weight training and a 1/2hr of cardio daily is key. If you cant join a gym take a daily 1/2hr walk and buy your own set of 2lb and 5lb weights for at home. I was at 260 last year and now I'm down to 157.
I can understand you feeling you need to loose weight before a baby, but dont let that stand in your way!! Sure you will gain more weight while pregnant but it will come off after a few months of giving birth and you can then continue to eat well and exercise.
Good Luck!
hii,
check this site they provide a program so as to lose about 9 lbs. every 11 days, and it really works, i subscribed for this program for about 2 months ago ,and it's for real it helped me alot. Here is the link http://overweight-problem.co.nr... ,hope it helps.

Best Cellulite cream/regime?

My aunt started wrapping her legs in celaphane %26 I laughed at her. What are some cellulite solutions that actualy work?? ( idk maybe hers will) WHat have you tested out?
Answer:
I use Nivea Goodbye Cellulite, it works awesome! And it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. You WILL see results in a month!! Good results! It was also featured on the Tyra Banks show.
The spray from Victoria's Secret works wonders! I forget the exact name of it but it's in a white bottle with colorful writing on it. My Mom uses it, and that's how I know and she had amazing results.

Besides surgery...what are some natural, safe and good alternatives for a woman who wants to increase her?

chest region?
Answer:
Surgery is the only sure fire solution and besides being expensive I don't think they're very safe. Since breasts are glans and are composed of primarily fat tissue there isn't a way to increase that.
Sorry, unless you consider having a child to be one (you will have a temporary increase in breast size, but probably not a good reason to have a kid), without surgery, you're pretty much stuck with what you've got.
There are some ways, but I'm not going to tell you. You'll be as flat as an ironing board forever!
Bwahahahaha!
sleep without your bra off so your breasts have room to grow.
there are plenty of herbal pills that you can take.
eat vegtables. if you check in the produce area of a store, you can buy alfalfa herbs to put in salads.
look up via the internet to find vegtables that have higher amounts of estogens. just don't over do it.

Besides push-ups..?

Are there any other good excersises for lifting and tightining the breast? I am going to a topless beach soon and would like to look my best without getting implants.
Answer:
two of my favorite exercises for this are:

lay on your back with your knees bent, but your feet flat on the ground. use 3-5 lb weights. extend your arms, slightly bending your elbows, and lift them until they come together over your face. a GAIAM workout dvd calls these "chest flys" and i love them!

the other exercise is similiar. standing up, while doing some leg workout (like if you have a step bench, while stepping up and down), using the same weights, bend your elbows (so your arm makes a right angle. then, squeeze your arms together in front of you! go in rhythm with your leg exercise.

ive been working out for my wedding dress and its worked pretty well!

Benign Ovarian Tumor removed. After Surgery, Started having R. Temporal Lobe Seizures and fibromyalgia?

Hi there,
I had a benign r. ovarian tumor, fallopian tube removed and within 10 months starting having r. temporal lobe seizures at age 41. Also went into menopause. Also terrible, terrible body aches and felt like I had the flu all the time. Severe fatigue. Lower leg aches and weak when I walk along with lower arm aches. I started aching all over and was on disability for 1 year diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Also terrible, terrible short term memory loss. Can anyone help me to understand this because the dr's sure can't, they just send me to mental health. I am on tegretol for the temporal lobe seizures where the MRI says I have a lesion on the R. side of my brain but thats all they say about that. The seizures are cyclical. I guess I still have a cycle even though I don't have a period and my seizures always happen the same week of every month. I usually have 3 during that week even though I'm on tegretol. Can anyone help me?
Tired in California.
Answer:
It appears that you are not getting the answers you need from your doctors. You could very well be in early menopause at 41, but that could also be caused by hormonal imbalance due to the lesion on your brain.

Also if you are still having seizures even though you are on medication, why has your doctor not changed your medication?? If one med doesn't work another one probably will. There are many different meds for seizures. I was on anti-seizure meds for 3 months after I had brain surgery as a precaution against seizures. I had an allergic reaction to Dilantin, so my surgeon switched me to Keppra. Since Tegretol isn't working for you they should try another one.

Have any of your doctors told you what the brain lesion is? That is probably what is causing the seizures and some of your other health problems. I was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor 3 years ago and initially it was called a lesion (after a CAT scan), but after an MRI it was diagnosed as a "probable meningioma". A definite diagnosis cannot be made until surgery or biopsy, and lab work on the tissue. But from the MRI they should be able to give you a "probable" diagnosis, so you know what you are dealing with.

If you don't have them already, you need to request your own copies of the MRI, CAT scans, written radiologists reports for the scans and whatever else you can get your hands on. These are your medical records and you have a right to your own set of copies.

Once you have those, read them and do your own research online. You can contact many major hospitals directly or have your primary care physician do it for you. Many of these hospitals can give you a treatment recommendation just from sending them your medical records.

This is your health you are dealing with and you are a young woman. Take action in order to get the medical treatment you deserve.

Feel free to contact me by email if you would like to.
