They are good,they make you ovulate more %26 you dont gain much weight, if any at all. I used to use "Novum 7/7/7" until they stopped making them.

Birth Control Pills?
Recently my Doctor suggested that I take another medicine that i take in the morning instead of before bed. So instead of taking one pill in the morning and one at night id rather take them both together. The question is... does this make it ineffective for any amount of time because I know your supposed to take it at aprox the same time everyday.

Birth Control Pills?
I've been on birth control (low dose: Yasmin 28) for 6 months. I went on the pill because I had really heavy, painful periods. Well, 6 months later, and my periods are slightly less painful, but still heavy, which is a major inconvenience. I hate getting my period! Is there anything else I can do about this? Also, could having a very heavy period, even on birth control, be a sign of an underlying problem?

the same thing happened to me and someone told me to exercise and your body will need more blood thus lessening your period flow. which worked for me plus more exercise is always good :)

Birth Control Pills?
I have a problem with remebering taking my pills, this is the second time again that i forgot, will it affect me? i too it like 25 mins late -.- oh man this is a bad thing for me its fine rite?

The pill is meant to be taken at the same time every day, so that it will be effective. You may be alright. But you can have your partner use other protection for the rest of the month, if you are really concerned.
One suggestion that may help. If you have a cell phone with an alarm on it that you can set to go off daily at the same time. It should keep you from forgetting.

yes... it will effect you. get the depoprovera shot. its the same as the pill but you go every three months to get it. thats it!! wa-la!
You should maybe consider that new pill they have out. I'm not sure of the name but ask your doctor, It's chewable so you can take it wherever you are. Or just start leavin a note in the bathroom when you go in first thing in the morning and it will be there. I dont think taking it 25 minutes late will hurt. But ask your doc if your not sure!!
Well, my mother is an OBGYN she tells all of her patients to take the pill at the same time daily/ within an hour of the same time everyday is considered on time apparently. If you try and take it at 8 daily taking it at 7 or 9 is still okay, but later than that is considered missing. I set the alarm on my cell phone to go off at the same time daily to remind me. I usually pick a time when I know I will be home mostly, like after dinner. I still try and take it w/in 30 minutes of the same time daily so actually you are doing okay.

You should check the insert in your pack to be sure how long it can be for your specific brand of pills. Try taking your pills at night before bed. Put them right by your "getting ready for bed" stuff like your alarm clock or face wash. That way you'll never forget.

Birth Control Pills?
My fiancee and I are going to the beach at the end of this month and we're going right during when I'm supposed to be on my period. I was wondering which is safer to stop my pills a week early and have my period or to just take two packs back to back. Do either one of this increase a risk of pregnancy? We always use a condom for back up but I feel safer knowing I'm protected by hormones instead of rubber lol. I tried surfering the net but really couldn't find anything. I'm on the generic LoOval if that makes any difference. Thanks for your help.

You really need to talk to you Doc about this. I know some Doctors prescribe birth control in 3 month increments but doing it on you own could be dangerous. Those pills can have serious side effects so I wouldn't mess with them unless my Doctor said it was okay.

Missing pills on either side of the pill-free week is the leading cause of failure to prevent prgnancy. So if you don't have that pill-free week, then there is no chance that the level of hormones will drop far enough to trigger ovulation.

Ladies, while you were on birth control, did your boobs grow ? when my doctor prescribed me with TriNessa, she said that my boobs will most likely grow a full cup size, and they definitely did. Now i am switching to Yasmin, and I am hoping that they will grow again :D. did your boobs grow when you went on birth control ? if so, what was the name of the birth control that did it ? just curious =) thanks

I was on the patch. Um, ortho evra-I think it's called. They grew alright! It's a cool kind of birth control, you only have to worrry about it once a week!
